DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran’s 24-page booklet for voters of the Chennai-Central constituency has his pictures on 23 pages. While the cover has his picture with DMK chief Karunandhi and his son MK Stalin, the inside pictures relate to the Rs 266,000 crore of investment Maran claims to have brought into the country through his ‘undaunting efforts’ which have brought employment to thousands. So, there’s a picture of Maran with Bill Gates, of Maran with Mukesh Ambani, of Maran at the inauguration of Dell’s Computer Centre, and so on. After the vast sums that Maran has brought into the country, there’s also a box on the Rs 18 crore he has spent from his MPLADS funds.
