If you agree with him, it is time to change and listen to West Bengal Commerce and Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee. For him, performance hardly matters in politics. Addressing a business community recently, the minister said, “It is not necessary for politicians to perform. But you businessmen should. Even if politicians don’t perform, based on popularity they can win elections.” A businessman hearing this quipped that politicians are the country’s real non-performing assets.
