The death of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy just a few months after the Congress party registered a stunning victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections and the disarray within the ruling party on account of the handling of the Telangana issue seem to have ushered in a phase of implicit “President’s Rule” in the state. This is the gossip in state capital Hyderabad given the state governor E S L Narasimhan’s proactive style of running the government from the Raj Bhavan. “Delhi is running the government in Hyderabad through the governor” is the talk of the town.
