On the heels of the Assembly elections, at least four ministers are now wondering where they would be elected from, as their Rajya Sabha terms are almost getting over. Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was elected to the Upper House from Andhra Pradesh and the Bharatiya Janata Party will have to negotiate with the Telugu Desam Party if it wants another term for her. Minister of State for Minorities Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was elected from Uttar Pradesh. The Rajya Sabha term of Power Minister Piyush Goyal from Maharashtra is also about to end but getting re-elected should not be a problem for him. Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu was elected from Karnataka and it seems he will be elected from the state again. The BJP also has a nominated seat in its kitty.
