He claims this is what he heard on several legs of the Vikas Yatra he is undertaking to showcase his government's achievement ahead of November state polls. The soaring price of onions, thus, has provided him with one strong point with which to highlight the mismanagement of the United Progressive Alliance. He even joked that onions usually provoked tears when they are cut; now they do the same when they are being bought.
