Remember Kishore?

BJP leader Arun Jaitley was telling an audience that the Congress party’s boycotting of Amitabh Bachchan was quite similar to what the party did during the Emergency years to the late Kishore Kumar. The famous singer had been asked to perform at a government function but refused to do so — this angered the party so much that, for over a year, no Kishore Kumar songs were played on All India Radio. The story would have ended here except, as Jaitley was recounting the story, he got an SMS giving him more details of the case. Convinced someone was eavesdropping, Jaitley called back on the number, only to discover it was a fellow lawyer who was apparently seized with the same thought.
