Taking corporate-style governance to another level, the ministries for coal, power and renewable energy are basking in the glory of conducting an all-India video press conference to showcase the first 100 days under three-in-one minister Piyush Goyal. The media cell concerned recently circulated a glowing intra-office report on the achievements of the press conference: 295 news clippings, around 90 tweets in just a day, the questions the minister was asked and his apparent superhuman ability to give interviews thereafter to eight to 10 TV channels. The report also talked about creating history by holding a seamless press conference with 13 cities across the country through video conference for a good two and a half hours. Given this carefully-tracked "overwhelming" response, the report went on, road transport and highways also held an inter-regional press conference and the food processing ministry is likely to follow suit.
