Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad recently related two personal anecdotes to highlight the depth of the e-commerce revolution at a recent event in Delhi. He said he and former Bihar finance minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushil Modi regularly exchange notes on the books they read. But what particularly impressed him was that Modi bought his books off Flipkart. But it's not books that takes Prasad to online shopping sites but shoes, for which he engagingly confessed to having something of a fetish. He said his niece who lived abroad had introduced him to the world of online shopping and showed him how it was easy to buy shoes online.
