The zeal of Indian entrepreneurs can intimidate even a senior representative of the Obama administration. Talking to members of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci), Chief Economic Adviser to US President Larry Summers said he felt as though he was taking his oral exams in graduate school. He was responding to the elaborate way in which he was introduced to the industry representatives and was asked to answer their questions. “This seems like my second oral examination,” he joked.
