External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has become a rock star on Twitter. On Thursday, she posted a photograph with her husband Swaraj Kaushal, their hands clasped, in front of one of Parliament's entry gates.
"Together after many years - a chance meeting with @governorswaraj at the Parliament House gate today," she tweeted with the picture, which also had a smiling Congress leader Digvijaya Singh in the background. Swaraj said her husband was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1998-2004. She was in the Lok Sabha then. "Then I came to Rajya Sabha in 2000. We were in Rajya Sabha together from 2000 -2004."
To an apologetic query about whether the couple "weren't together" anymore, Swaraj said, "We are together at home, but not in Parliament anymore." One of her followers, a young woman, tweeted: "Sushma Swaraj is so damn cute :) I wish she had a son. I would have left the whole world for his mom." Swaraj retweeted this, adding: "This is interesting."
