Greenpeace activists left no one and definitely not the public in doubt about which authority was responsible for the current Coalgate scam. While the ministry was the focus of media discussed as the Inter Ministerial Group deliberated the fate of 58 coal block allocations, Greenpeace had smartly strung up a bright yellow banner proclaiming “Ministry of Coal Scams and Forest Destruction” right outside Shastri Bhavan, with bold black arrows pointing at the coal ministry located there. A group of activists also protested outside the building, brandishing placards with similar messages. If the banner and placards were not enough to grab public attention, environmental activists dressed in bright tiger puppet costumes did the needful. The public was left well informed of the location of the ministry in the thick of Coalgate allegations, and possibly where next to vent its ire.
