After Bharatiya Janata Party member Sudheendra Kulkarni was arrested in the cash-for-vote scam, former finance minister Yashwant Sinha was asked if he would go to Tihar Jail to express his best wishes to his fellow parliamentarians, especially former telecom minister A Raja, Suresh Kalmadi and Kanimozhi during Diwali. “I have never been inside the Tihar Jail and I have not seen it. But the way the investigations are being carried, I might also spend the next Diwali in Tihar Jail,” Sinha quipped.
