Too busy fighting

The infighting in the Samajwadi Party (SP) had an unfortunate side effect last week. When veteran SP leader Janeshwar Mishra passed away last week, BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi went to the SP headquarters on Delhi’s Copernicus Marg to offer their condolences. Possibly too caught up in its internal affairs, the SP hadn’t even arranged for a picture of Mishra, its leader in the Rajya Sabha and a former Union minister. Naqvi and Jaitley waited in the lawns while an SP functionary hurriedly arranged a picture of Mishra and placed it on a table. Jaitley and Naqvi then offered their last respects.
