Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, and Prashant Ruia, chief executive officer, Essar Group, were spotted sitting next to each other at the national conference of the Confederation of Indian Industry held earlier this week in New Delhi. Though, they were part of the same session, they didn't appear keen to strike up a conversation and largely kept to themselves. One might remember that Gadkari's name had popped up in the recent Essar e-mail leak case, after which he admitted staying on Ruia's luxury yacht in the French Riviera with his wife, two sons and daughter in July 2013.
