CB Richard Ellis in Fortune 1000

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), a global property consultant that has facilitated much real estate business in Bangalore, has debuted on the Fortune 1000 list at No. 676.
 
Fortune magazine has placed CBRE in the 'Diversified Financials' category along with General Electric, American Express and Countrywide Financial.
 
"In this group, CB Richard Ellis is ranked eighth and is the only real estate services firm on the Fortune 1000 list," said Ram T Chandnani, head-south India operations.
 
In 2004, the company posted service revenues of $2.4 billion and completed over 41,600 sale and lease assignments, with a consideration value of over $127.1 billion.
 
In India, the company headed by Anshuman Magazine, managing director of CB Richard Ellis - South Asia has transacted over 50 lakh sq ft and manages portfolio of over 1.7 crore sq ft including two of the most prestigious IT Parks in the country.
 
Under the project management commenced two years ago, the company has completed over 20 lakh sq ft of construction and fit out management.
 
In addition, the company has been involved in advisory assignments, since economic liberalisation started in India, including the privatisation exercise of four international airports in the metros and a portfolio of 26 India Tourism Development Corporation hotel properties.
 
In Bangalore, the company has completed transactions in leasing and sales to the tune of over 35 lakh sq ft.
 
"Prominent clients we have serviced in 2004 are Network Associates, Network Appliances, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Hughes Software Systems," said Chandnani.
 
Some 10 lakh sq ft of space has been completed and managed by CBRE's project management team in Bangalore City, last fiscal, he said.
