Bengal Shrachi Housing Development Ltd (BSHDL) would be building what is being described as the eastern region's first one-stop entertainment hub in a minor city, at Durgapur in West Bengal. |
The hub will be called the Junction and would offer commercial and recreational space at the City Centre in Durgapur. A fast growing commercial and education centre, Durgapur had more than 20 private colleges besides steel plants and engineering factories, and served urban clusters in nearby Jharkhand as well. |

Junction would offer over 400,000 sq. ft., on six floors and a basement for shopping and entertainment. |

Spread over land area of 2.8 acres, the amusement zone and mall was being designed by the architect firm of Stephen Coates of aCTa International. |

It will house cafes, departmental stores, a multiplex, international fashion labels, home electronic stores, gaming zones, restaurants and other entertainment. S K Todi, director of BSHDL, said the company was eager to expand in the emerging industrial belt of Durgapur with a premium entertainment destination. |
