Religare launches JOY to cover maternity & newborns

With insurance cover of Rs 3 lakh or Rs 5 lakh, the policy offer a number of services like pre- & post-natal coverage and also no-claim benefit

Religare Health Insurance has portfolio of products with the launch of JOY - a policy that covers maternity and newborns

JOY offers a waiting period of only nine months for maternity-related insurance claims and includes pre-natal and post-natal periods, with pre-hospitalisation cover of 30 days and post-hospitalisation cover of 60 days. The insurance policy also covers medical expenses of the newborn from birth till the completion of 90 days and even offers a no-claim bonanza add-on benefit wherein the sum insured of the policy would be doubled during renewal, if no claim has been filed during the preceding year.

This policy has an insurance cover of Rs 3 lakh or Rs 5 lakh.

It offers cashless treatment at over 4,100 hospitals across the country and in an emergency, the insurance plan also has the provision to cover for ambulance services.

The launch of JOY now takes the number of retail offerings by Religare Health Insurance to six. The company already offers five health insurance products in the retail segment: Care - comprehensive health insurance, Assure - critical illness and personal accident Cover, Secure - personal accident cover, Enhance - high deductible health insurance, and Explore - international travel insurance.

The company also offers group health insurance and group personal accident insurance for corporates.
