AAP seeks donations for Delhi elections

Party has organised a luncheon with Arvind Kejriwal on Jan 11 for a minimum of Rs 20,000 donation

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is organising a fund raising luncheon meeting with party founder Arvind Kejriwal in Bengaluru on January 11. This is  second such event being organised by the party to raise funds in the city. It had organised a similar event prior to the Lok Sabha elections in May 2014.

The party has invited donors to contribute a minimum of Rs 20,000 and book their passes for the event. AAP, which recently raised Rs 91 lakh from donors in Maharashtra for the upcoming Delhi elections. Kejriwal will participate in several fund raising programmes in Bengaluru on January 11.

“We believe that the people of India are eager to fund honest politics and AAP is the only party that provides this platform. AAP Karnataka has been innovative in seeking funding from prospective donors,” the party said in a statement.
