Advani cancels Jaipur visit

Adavani was to deliver a lecture on role of newspapers and magazines in social consciousness

After staying away from the party's National Executive meet in Goa on grounds of ill heath, BJP patriarch L K Advani today cancelled his visit to Jaipur where he was to deliver a lecture at Pandit Sriram Dave Smriti event here.

"Advaniji has told us that he would not be able to come to Jaipur due to some reasons," Bahadur Singh, a convener of Sri Lalita Ashram and organiser of the event told PTI.

In memory of Sriram Dave, Adavani was to deliver a lecture on "Samajik sanchetna mein patra-patrikaon ki bhoomika" (role of newspapers and magazines in social consciousness), and felicitate dignitaries with "Kaustubh Samman", Singh said.

Advani might address the audience through video conference facility, the convener added.
