Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today shared the stage with senior leader LK Advani at a massive rally in Bhopal.
Modi even touched Advani's feet when the 85-year-old patriarch greeted him with a bouquet. Both leaders flanked BJP president Rajnath Singh on the stage packed with virtually the entire BJP leadership.
Addressing the rally, the party patriarch said: "People have come from all over. The BJP will be able to provide a stable government to India. Under Narendra Modi's leadership we will win the elections based on our good work. We have played a constructive role as the main opposition party."

This is the first public appearance of the two stalwarts after Advani openly opposed and skipped the event where Modi was elevated as the party's choice for Prime Minister on September 13.
Besides Modi and Advani, other prominent BJP leaders who came to attend the “Karyakarta Mahakumbh” (party workers’ rally) were Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, former BJP president Nitin Gadkari, Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP national general secretary in-charge Madhya Pradesh Ananth Kumar and BJP vice-president and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti.
The BJP chief said that the party will win only when each worker works hard for victory.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan will become the Chief Minister and in India Narendra Modi will become the PM. I salute the resolve of all the BJP workers, he added.
The Mahakumbh is being held on the 97th birth anniversary of Jan Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya. At least 5,000 buses, 11 special trains and other coaches in other trains have been booked to ferry supporters to the rally on Bhopal’s Jamboree Grounds.
