With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) all set to form the next government in Delhi, chief ministerial aspirant Harshvardhan said on Sunday that the voter and democracy in the national capital had triumphed.
Congratulating the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi-led Party (AAP) on its successful political debut, a humble Harshvardhan said: said: "I congratulate the AAP for their performance."
He also praised the achievements of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress Government, saying that it had ensured considerable progress of the national capital during its 15-year rule from 1998 to 2013.
"I want to thank Sheila Dikshit for having served Delhi for 15 years. I congratulate the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP for their performance.
He also thanked the voters of his Krishna Nagar Assembly constituency for returning him as a member of the Delhi State Assembly.
"I thank my constituents of Krishna Nagar, said Dr Harshavardhan.

The BJP is currently leading in three of the four states that had polls between November 11 and December 4. It is expected to get a majority in Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In Chhattisgarh, latest reports indicate a close contest and outcome between the BJP and the Congress.
Vote counting is still on in the four states amidst tight security and the final results are expected to be announced later this afternoon.
