Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today accused "certain forces" in the state of fanning communal tension ahead of Lok Sabha elections, but said a decision on the final shape of the proposed communal violence bill will be taken by the Samajwadi Party.

"The Lok Sabha (Parliament's Winter session) is on. Therefore, it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the bill. Our party and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will take a call on the final shape of the bill which is acceptable," he told reporters here.

Yadav accused "certain forces" of trying to fan communal tension in Uttar Pradesh ahead of next year's Lok Sabha elections.

"As the Lok Sabha polls are near, certain forces are trying to disturb the communal harmony in the state...There is a need for all to live together as brothers. Communal harmony is necessary for development," the UP CM said.
