Press Trust of India Kolkata Protesting over Congress MLAs and MPs not being invited to the inauguration of a new critical care unit in Murshidabad medical college and hospital, Congress members today staged a walkout in the state Assembly.
"We raised this issue in the Assembly and protested against it. Our names are not there in the list of invitees. This is not democracy and so we walked out," Congress MLA Manoj Chakraborty told reporters.
Incidentally, the walk out coincided with the recess break.
