Discussion on the draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill continued in the Legislative Assembly for the second day on Friday after the YSR Congress Party members walked out of the House in protest against the state's bifurcation.

Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislative party leader Eetela Rajender and Gunda Mallesh of the Communist Party of India took part in the debate. Thereafter, the House was adjourned by the Speaker till January 17 in view of the Sankranti festival.

All the three speakers hail from the Telangana region and welcomed the Centre's decision to bifurcate the state and sought the support of all legislators in this regard.

Meanwhile, YSRCP had submitted to the Speaker in writing seeking amendments to various clauses in the draft bill. The party wants deletion of clauses 1-7 stating it was opposed to bifurcation of the state.
