The All India Congress Committee (AICC) today effected large scale organisational changes to prepare the party for 2014 polls. As per the reshuffle, Odisha congress observer Jagdish Tytler has been replaced by B K Hariprasad, a Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka.

Apart from Odisha, Hariprasad has been directed to look after Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh affairs of Congress.

The party's organisational changes came just ahead of Central cabinet reshuffle. Speculation is rife about the Balasore MP Srikant Jena, who is currently minister of state for chemical and fertiliser and statistics and programme implementation being elevated to cabinet rank.
