'It may not eradicate poverty but ensure a right to food, unlike the PDS food given now as a government decision, and anyone found guilty for not implementing the law would be brought to book,' AICC general secretary and in-charge of north eastern states, Luizinho Falerio, today said.

The party would never be found wanting in its fight against corruption.
'The BJP has no issue and is trying to divert people's attention. Congress has already proved its resolve against corruption,' Falerio told a press conference here.
The Congress leader arrived here yesterday on his first visit after taking charge of N-E following the June 17 AICC reshuffle in the run up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Falerio denied that his visit had anything to do with the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, saying it was to review implementation of the party's last election manifesto.
'Election comes and goes but I am here to see if the Congress manifesto has been translated into a reality,' he said.
Addressing a party meeting here yesterday, he asked ministers, MLAs, and office bearers to ensure unity and discipline for consolidating and strengthening the party.
