Impostors handing out cash in party's name: AAP plaint to cops

In the complaint, Sisodia has said that the above was an attempt to malign AAP's image.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today lodged a police complaint alleging that some unknown persons posing as the party's volunteers were distributing cash along with AAP pamphlets.

According to police, senior party leaders and the AAP candidate for the Patparganj Assembly seat, Manish Sisodia, have complained that some unknown persons posing as AAP volunteers had last night been distributing cash in the IP Extension area of east Delhi.

In the complaint, Sisodia has said that the above was an attempt to malign AAP's image. No AAP workers were involved in the incident, he further stated.

There were reports last evening of some AAP volunteers distributing cash amongst locals at a small public meeting in east Delhi. However, the alleged impostors fled after the news of their presence spread in the area.

Police said that no arrests have so far been made in the case.
