 "Kairana exodus: BJP habitualised to polarizing society before polls, says Akhilesh Yadav")
UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday launched a scathing attack against the BJP for communalizing the Kairana exodus issue and said it is the habit of the saffron party to rake up such issues just before the polls.
Asserting that BJP is hell bent to spoil the communal harmony in the state, he thanked media channels for bringing forth the truth about the exodus.
"These BJP people, they first disturbed the environment in UP, they are responsible for Muazzfarnagar riots. He is the leader who spoiled the harmony here," he said.
"Some reports have come. I would like to thank channels for bringing forward the truth. Some people (In Kairana) left long back in search of work, much before we came to power. Allegations are that we are responsible for their exodus," he added.
He further spoke about his government's contributions to the development of the state.
"We are committed towards development. I can proudly say today that country's biggest expressway, access control is being made in UP. If someone has established sugar mills in record time then it is UP government," he said.

"We have taken initiatives to provide support prices to crops to help farmers in trouble. SP has been able to take ambulances to the villages. Your pension is being given to poor," he added.
Yadav had on Monday advised the BJP to indulge in constructive works, rather than indulging in petty politics on the false claims of Hindus being forced to leave their homes in the Muslim dominated town of Kairana in Shamli district, for electoral gains in next year's assembly polls.
BJP legislator and Muzaffarnagar riots accused Hukum Singh had earlier reportedly said that the Hindus were being forced to leave their homes in the Muslim-majority town in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the police have ordered a probe into the alleged migration after Singh presented a list of 346 families from the Muslim-majority town while claiming that they had to leave their homes after attacks and extortion attempts.
