Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, accompanied by his party's 25 Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA), has met Lieutenant Governor (LG) Najeeb Jung, here at his residence on Monday.

Kejriwal's meeting with Jung is aimed at asking the latter for a withdrawal of President's rule from the capital. The AAP chief along with his party MLAs would try to convince Jung to dissolve the assembly and call for fresh polls.

This meeting comes in the backdrop of AAP accusing the BJP of running away from fresh elections after the BJP state unit said the central leadership would take a final decision and was open to all three options-fresh elections, staking claim to government formation and extending President's rule.
