Praising Delhi's new Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his impressive victory in the December 4 State Assembly polls, Janata Dal United (JD-U) leader Shivanand Tiwari termed the speeches given by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as a mere drama.

"When Arvind Kejriwal says something, it seems he is speaking from his heart like a common man. When Narendra Modi is talking, it seems he has practiced to talk," Tiwari said.

"Everyone wants the AAP to succeed. People have found an alternative in AAP," he added.

On BJP and Karnataka Janata Party merger, Tiwari said, "Without Yeddyurappa, Modi's struggle against corruption is incomplete."

Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa ia all set to return to the BJP and has announced merger of his KJP, a year after he walked out of the party, alleging betrayal.

Tiwari had last year praised the Gujarat Chief Minister, saying the latter has worked hard to reach where he is today.

"I am an admirer of Modi. Coming from a poor background, he has worked hard to reach where he is today," he said.

Tiwari lauded Modi at the Janata Dal (United) convention, which was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and party chief Sharad Yadav among others.

The JD(U) and BJP were partners in the Bihar Government till June 2013 when the former broke the 17-year alliance over the latter's decision to give Modi a starring role in the party's election campaign.
