Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said the government will step up its efforts to improve the ease of doing business in the state.

In his address at the CEO conference organised by FICCI, Fadnavis said the state government has already brought down the number of approvals required to start a project to 25 from the earlier 76, and will reduce it further.
The government with the active involvement of the industry will implement 'Make In Maharashtra', he added.
He also said the government expects the clearance from the ministry of environment and forest for the Rs 8,500 crore coastal road connecting South and North Mumbai soon.
