Law and order situation improved in Puducherry: DMK

Chief Minister N Rangasamy was only trying to evade his responsibility by levelling criticisms against the Lt Governor

Law and order situation in Puducherry has shown improvement to "some extent" due to the intervention of Lt Governor Virendra Kataria, DMK said today.

Convenor of Puducherry unit of DMK Dr M A S Subramanian. said in a release here that the Chief Minister N Rangasamy was only trying to evade his responsibility by levelling criticisms against the Lt Governor alleging that he was delaying approval of the files placed before him for his nod.

He said the Lt Governor should come out with clarification for the criticisms and allegations levelled by Rangasmy.

He said that the Chief Minister was showing no follow up action to get statehood for Puducherry.
