West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today warned her party men against corrupt practises saying she is "keeping a watch" on everyone and is aware of what is happening everywhere.

Addressing a Trinamool Congress (TMC) convention, attended by MPs, MLAs and ministers here, Banerjee said, "I like those workers and leaders who live a life of simplicity. I do politics by holding my head down before the people. I am not a 'laat saab'."

Warning her party men against corrupt practises, she said that party creates position and can also take them away. "I keep a watch on everyone. Don't think I am not aware of what is happening everywhere."

Banerjee also informed about her proposed meeting with the anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare saying, "I am going to Delhi on the 18th."

Hazare had termed the Trinamool chief as a "ray of hope" and said he would campaign for TMC candidates all over the country.

She criticised the political parties for lacking ideology.

"The work of political parties is to bring ideology. But these days there is a lack of ideology. There is a disconnect of political workers from the people," Banerjee said.
