"The act (honouring two Uttar Pradesh MLAs Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana at Agra rally tomorrow) proves his love for communal riots," JD(U) General Secretary and state minister Shyam Rajak said in a statement.
"It's a clear message for party workers to trigger communal riots and get honoured by Narendra Modi," Rajak added.

Rajak who is a close confidante of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleged Narendra Modi is "patron of elements who have expertise in spreading communal tension in the society."
The senior JD(U) leader said there was nothing unusual about this as Narendra Modi has a background in RSS which was described as "communal" by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
"Sardar Patel had put a ban on RSS describing it as communal. The ban was lifted only when RSS promised to get away from politics and indulge only in cultural activities," the senior JD(U) leader said.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has made it clear that Narendra Modi is choice of the Right wing organisation for PM post, he said.
"Now, it's becoming clear that which way Narendra Modi wish to take the country," he said, adding people would give a befitting reply to him.
