In a power packed performance state Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on racked up issues of skill development and employment during a mega-youth rally here on Thursday, and said that the Congerss-led UPA government at the centre was playing games with the youth of the nation.
Addressing a crow of over 50,000 at the Sardar Patel Stadium here Modi said that it is the youth power that will decide the fate of politicians in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This was Modi's first mega rally in his home state Gujarat.
Modi said that the 2014 Lok Sabha elections are not about any party or person but it is the people of India who are fighting the elections. "This is probably the first election in the history of this nation where it seems that people have already decided who to elect, to form the next government," the BJP's prime ministerial candidate said.

Raising the pitch at the event attended by thousands of youth from across Gujarat, Modi took pot shots at the Congress saying that it had betrayed the youth of the nation in the last 10 years. Congress made several promises to the people but could not fulfill even one and that is why there is an atmosphere of mistrust among the people.
"Congress have been making promises but never fulfilled any. To fulfill promises one needs will power and BJP is a party with ample will power. For a young nation like India dream and aspirations need to be young. If Congress had any concern for the youth, may be the present situation of mistrust and disappointment would not have arose," Modi said.
Emphasizing the need for youth-led development Modi talked about empowering youth with skill development and ensured them employment. He also called for involvement of youth in nation building.
Attacking the Congress government at the centre Modi said the they were afraid of the that at tea-seller was challenging its 60-year regime. That is why my speeches pinch them so much, he added. “At max what can they do? Throw mud, misuse CBI, go to the courts but they do not know we are devoted to Bharat Mata in this life and in our future lives! To get something, to become something has never been important for me. I am committed to truth and that is why my words hurt them," he added.
Modi called for change in youth's perspective which will ultimately bring in change in the country. "Youth need people with vision who has the capability to change the situation. The winds of change is blowing and youth power with will the deciding factor in the Lok Sabha polls," he added.
