Giving a pre-poll pep-talk to as many as seven-and-a-half lakh party activists in Bhopal, Narendra Modi expressed his apprehension and said that the congress will shield itself by launching CBP in upcoming state and assembly elections.

“All of you are ready for polls, but beware, Congress will not contest the elections but it will field CBI instead,” the BJP”s prime ministerial candidate exhorted the mega congregation here named as Karyakarta Mahakumbh organized to mark the celebration of Party’s founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

He said in a mocking tone, “Congress does not have the strength to face and defeat the BJP so they have put CBI in field as a shield."

He also asked the mega gathering of party workers that if they want to make Mahatma Gandhi’s dream taking shape they need to make India “Congress-free.”

I have a challenge to the Congress leaders that they may choose any tactics in the forthcoming polls but India voters will repay
them for each of their misdeeds they have committed during the last ten years.”

In plain terms he told party workers that each scam has been named on all alphabets from A to Z but if one has to count the money which the present UPA-led central government had siphoned off from the commoners pocket one has to put zeros from Bhopal to Delhi after the digit one.

Modi came down heavily on the Congress and asked the party workers to pledge that they will ensure “Congress free India”. “During 2015-16 we will mark the celebration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and for which each workers has to ensure that the BJP will be ruling at the Centre. If you want your coming generations should not die of poverty, you should take pledge that in coming elections you have to make India Congress-fee,” Modi exhorted the workers.

Lauding the political efforts of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Modi said he had learnt the ideology of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay as party activist when he had a chance to listen to Chouhan’s speech some twenty years back.

Hitting out at the Congress for harping on  'inclusive growth', Modi said, "Congress harps on inclusive growth but one must know that the term had come out of BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh where leaders like Chouhan have done tremendous work for the poorest of the poor. Those state governments that are working in the interest of the poor in country either belong to BJP or are part of NDA. It doesn't suit them (the UPA government) to talk about inclusive growth." Modi added.

Modi touches Advani's feet, Advani gives pat on his back

Making their maiden appearance together on party forum since the BJP declared Modi its prime ministerial candidate, Modi today touched Advani’s feet.

When Modi finished his speech Advani also gave a pat on his back. Last time, it is learnt, the two heavyweights in BJP met at Ram Jethmalani's birthday party.

Senior party leader Uma Bharti also evoked some memories and quoted an incident in her speech here today, “It was Narendra Bhai who told me that normally when you know about leaders from closer they often look contrast but Advani is different leader, the closer you get to Advani, you find him that much more.”

On his part the host and state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan left no chance to ensure that each top leadership should be greeted with massive garlands. And prominently visible towering cut-out of each leader sharing the podium of Karyakarta Mahakumbh.
