A day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav stripped 82 Samajwadi Party leaders of the Minister of State (MoS) status, his cousin and Pradeshik Cooperative Federation (PCF) chairman Aditya Yadav said that a new lot of advisors and chairmen of various departments and corporations will be announced in three days.

However, those who were removed will not be reinstated.

"A new lot of karyakartas (workers) will be given a chance with laal battis, however, in this new list some old faces are also expected to be reinstated," Yadav said on Sunday.

The chief minister's move was seen as a step towards cleaning the image of the ruling party as the sacked ministers were allegedly misusing their power.

Earlier, party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had also warned ministers against "complacency and misuse of power".

Eighty-two chairmen and advisers of different organisations and institutions enjoying MoS rank were sacked by the chief minister on Sunday.

The move had come in the wake of an incident of alleged misbehaviour by the father of the chairman of the Centre for Remote Sensing with police personnel in Baghpat on Wednesday.
