The bail pleas of two men arrested here for the death of Arunachal Pradesh student Nido Tania will be taken up for hearing Feb 11 by a special court for cases of atrocities on the Scheduled Castes and Tribes.

Additional Sessions Judge Rajender Kumar Shastri listed the bail application of Sunder Singh and Pawan for Feb 11 after the public prosecutor sought time for filing reply in the matter.

A magisterial court Thursday transferred the bail hearing to the special court, exclusively dealing with cases under the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Defence counsel S.K. Sharma and Shalabh Gupta apprised the special court that their clients have been booked under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. They also said that cause of death of Nido Tania is still not identified.

The advocates said their clients have not been booked under murder charges yet.

Police said that murder charges will be added on the basis of the autopsy report of Nido Tania.
