Sikkim is not facing the problem of price rise in food commodities unlike other states, Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling said today.

"There is no such (price rise) problem in Sikkim like other states. There is no problem in availability of vegetables and other food supplies," Chamling told reporters after meeting Union Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.

The state has already implemented the Food Security Act, under which poor people are given a legal right over highly subsidised foodgrains supplied through PDS, he added.
