National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah Wednesday said his son and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will take the final decision on ties with the Congress party.
Asked if the NC would continue it's alliance with the UPA in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Abdullah said: "We will do what Omar suggests. We have not decided anything as yet".
"I don't know if we will fight the election together. No decision has been taken yet," he told reporters.
He also did not make any direct comment on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
"People will decide if Narendra Modi will win or lose. They will decide who will become the prime minister of India. If Modi is elected as PM, it will be the will of the people and the party will accept the verdict," he said.
The NC has earlier been a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance but withdrew in 2002.
