Condemning the blasts in Bihar that left six people dead, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said democracy is a battle of ideas and ideologies where violence has no place.

"The forthcoming elections should be a battle of ideas & ideologies, where violence like today's (Sunday) has no place," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter last night.

The Chief Minister said though law and order is the responsibility of the states, every "right thinking" person must condemn the attacks on democracy.
