Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will be addressing elected members of local bodies at the party's state-level programme on January 24 at Sewagram in neighbouring Wardha district of Maharashtra.
The programme organised by Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will witness more than 3000 elected representatives right from Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Parishad, Municipal Council, Municipal Corporation participating in the day-long deliberations on Panchayti Raj system and party manifesto for the forthcoming general elections, MPCC Chief Manikrao Thakre, told PTI.
He said a number of experts from All India Congress Committee (AICC) will also address the representatives.

Charulata Tokas -- former ZP president of Wardha and daughter of late Rajasthan Governor Prabha Rau -- who is one of the organisers, said preparations are in full swing and a team of SPG has already arrived in Sewagram ahead of Rahul's visit.
A galaxy of office bearers of both MPCC, AICC and Maharashtra ministers will be present on the occasion, Tokas said.
