Shiv Sena today hailed the win of its ally BJP in three states saying it is a step towards "revolution" and also praised AAP president Arvind Kejriwal for his party's electrifying performance in Delhi Assembly polls.

Taking a dig at the Congress, which got a drubbing by the BJP in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi and the prevalent AAP wave, the editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana' said that the Assembly election results in four states show how weak the base of the Congress has become.

"The results from the four states show that the foundation of the 150-year-old Congress has become weak. The mandate from these states is the beginning of the big win. It is a step towards revolution," Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said in the editorial.

Launching a frontal attack on Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, he alleged that people were made to come for the Gandhi scion's rally. However, when he stood to address the rally, people used to leave from the venue.

"Congress leaders on the stage used to make people sit to listen Rahul Gandhi's speech with folded hands. Elections cannot be won on the strength of the people who are brought on rent," Uddhav said.

Praising AAP president Arvind Kejriwal for his spectacular performance in Delhi polls, he said, "The keys of forming government in Delhi are with Kejriwal. A young person like Kejriwal ward-off the challenge of Narendra Modi and massive Congress. Kejriwal's challenge is for all political parties across the country."

Uddhav also said the BJP leadership should find out as to what went wrong for them in Chhattisgarh where the party had a slender victory, unlike its single-handed win in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

"BJP's victory in Madhya Pradesh is the win of Shivraj Singh Chouhan's leadership. It was not an easy task for him to emerge victorious in MP," the Sena leader said.
