Sena leader Raghunath Padyal dies at 74

He was credited with strengthening of the saffron party in the powerloom town

Senior Shiv Sena leader Raghunath Padyal died due to prolonged illness at his residence in powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane district today.

He was 74.

Padyal is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Padyal was credited with strengthening of the saffron party in the powerloom town.

He was cremated at the civic crematorium this evening amid presence of local leaders from various political parties and people from different walks of life.

Padyal, known by his nickname Appa, had served as a councillor of the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Council for 20 years and had been the president of city unit of Shivsena for over 25 years.
