Seven Congressmen from Mysuru on corporation boards

Two Congress leaders from Mysuru have taken charge at the various corporation boards in the city on Thursday. With this, a total of seven Congress leaders of Mysuru, who have been named heads for boards and corporations, have taken charge.

Former Cauvery Command Area Development Authority (CADA) K R Mohan Kumar took charge as Chairman, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and city Congress President C Dasegowda as CADA Chairman. Mohan Kumar took charge from Deputy Commissioner C Shikha who also held the MUDA Chairman post.

With this, the eleven boards and corporations have non-official heads from Mysuru now. The state government had recently announced appointment of chiefs to several boards and corporations in the state.

Rehana Banu, S C Basavaraju, Sundardas and former mayor Narayana have become chiefs of the Karnataka Zoo Authority, Valmiki Scheduled Castes Development Corporation, Karnataka State Seeds Corporation and Karnataka Safai Karmachari Commission, respectively.

Mohan Kumar is a loyalist of minister- incharge for the district V Sreenivasa Prasad. Kumar said he would make earnest efforts to implement the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of Mysuru and also give priority in providing sites to the needy, including distribution of R T Nagar sites, pending over a period of time.
