Congress President Sonia Gandhi admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Monday evening for check-up for fever, said Dr DS Rana, Chairman (Board of Management) SGRH, on Tuesday.
According to Dr Rana, "Sonia Gandhi has been admitted under the care of Dr Arun Kumar Basu, senior consultant in Department of Chest and Pulmonology Medicine, and his team of consultants.
"Gandhi's routine tests are being conducted and she is better today. She is likely to be discharged in a day or two," he added.
Earlier, Congress media in charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to a hospital on account of viral fever."
He further said, "Gandhi would be admitted for two days after which she would return to resume her duty in Parliament."
