Amidst the rumors about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's health condition, Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, who has additional charges of Tamil Nadu, has visited the hospital where she is admitted. Whether he met the Chief Minister or not was not communicated immediately.
This comes a day after DMK Supermo sought Governor's intervention to end rumours on the Chief Minister's health.
He came down from Maharashtra on Saturday evening and was accompanied by five senior ministers from the Government of Tamil Nadu during his visit to the Apollo Hospitals.
Jayalalithaa was admitted in a private hospital here in the late hours of September 22 and the hospital management informed that she had fever and dehydration at the time of admission. Treatment was commenced immediately, fever was brought under control on the next day, and she resumed regular diet, though the hospital said that she has been under observation till then.
While on the one side, social media has been spreading rumors about Jayalalithaa's health condition, Dr. Richard John Beale, Consultant Intensivist at the London Bridge Hospital, visited the hospital on Friday to assess her condition.
The hospital said on examining Jayalalithaa, he said she was receiving the best course of treatment at the hospital. An internationally renowned specialist and researcher, he will be available for further consultation over the next couple of days to the team of doctors attending on the Chief Minister.

Apollo Hospital, where Jayalalithaa, was admitted released four medical bulletins on Jayalalithaa’s health so far, which assured that she has responded to the treatment well and is currently under recuperative treatment.
AIADMK leaders continued to maintain the state that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is recovering from her illness and hope she will soon be discharged from the hospital.
