UP CM orders suspension of eight govt officials

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today ordered suspension of eight senior officers for laxity in executing of their duties and sought explanation from some others, an official spokesman said here.

Akhilesh, who undertook surprise inspection of Banda and Fatehpur districts, has sought an explanation from the principal secretary PWD and principal chief engineer of the department for poor condition of the roads, he said.

During his visit the Chief Minister ordered suspension of eight officers of various departments which was implemented with immediate effect, the spokesman said.

He said that departmental action was being initiated against some.

Akhilesh warned of stern action against officers creating hurdle in providing benefit of government policies to the people and committing laxity.
