He told reporters here on Tuesday that the Committee was appointed by the union government to assess the situation in the three regions of Andhra Pradesh and it had submitted its report outlining various options, without considering bifurcation of the state.
Unfortunately, the union government kept the report in cold storage and did not study or discuss the options which were proposed by the commission, he said, adding that the Parliament was not taken into confidence.
He alleged that the union government is preparing to take a unilateral decision without considering the pros and cons of bifurcating the state.
He also demanded that the union government must not take a decision against the wishes of the people of the Rayalaseema region.
