Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that he wanted to table in Parliament information on Prime Minister Narendra Modi indulging in corrupt practices.
"I have information of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal involvement in corruption which is what I want to speak on in Lok Sabha," Gandhi said.
The Congress leader was speaking to reporters after the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day.
Ever since the Winter Session of Parliament commenced on November 16, no business has transacted due to uproar from both sides on demonetisation.
Reiterating that he is not being allowed to speak in Parliament, Gandhi said, "Modi is terrified of me being allowed to speak in Parliament and that is why I am not allowed to speak in Parliament."
Demanding an answer from the Prime Minister on demonetisation, Gandhi said, "The Prime Minister owes (the) country an explanation. He has taken a decision against the poor people. He cannot keep running away from the House to pop concert, to public meeting."
Lok Sabha has been witnessing a virtual washout since the Winter Session started on November 16 with the Opposition and the government locking horns over the demonetisation issue.
"For the last one month we have been trying to hold a discussion in Parliament. We are ready to have an unconditional discussion but the government is not ready," Gandhi added.
Gandhi had on Friday said his party wants a debate on demonetisation so that the truth can come to the fore, but the government is running away from it.
The Congress leader had said that when he gets a chance to speak about demonetisation in the House, "the Prime Minister will not be able to even sit there... Demonetisation is the biggest scam in the history of India... I want to speak in Lok Sabha. I will tell everything there."
Congress sources said Rahul Gandhi, who has been attacking PM Modi over demonetization, wanted to speak on the issue in the Lok Sabha but the government is in no mood to give him that opportunity in the remaining three days of the winter session.
Rahul, who visited the Dadri grain market in Western Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, will travel across the country over the comings weeks to express solidarity with those who have suffered due to poor implementation of demonetisation.
